Step 1
(Pre-)heat cooking space to 180°C with Top/bottom heat
Step 2
Combine the
Baking Powder (20 g)
,
Butter (200 g)
,
Buttermilk (300 mL)
,
Salt (6 g)
, and
Granulated Sugar (100 g)
in a bowl. Cut the
Vanilla Extract (2 dashes)
into small pieces, add to the bowl and mix until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs. Add the
All-Purpose Flour (500 g)
and quickly work the mixture into a soft dough.
Step 3
Sprinkle the work surface with a little flour. Flatten the dough to a thickness of about 2 cm. Cut out rounds with a 6 cm cutter. Place the scones on a lined tray and put it into the preheated cooking space. Bake.
Step 5
Top/bottom heat 180°C for 20 Mins
Step 6
Serve the scones with clotted cream and jam.
